None of the men who radiated around Angelika Kluk before she was murdered come out of it very well. Claims of sexual relationships made about a dead woman, while fulfilling some male fantasies, are impossible to verify and seem most unlikely. The priest of hte church clearly has a lot of issues to deal with - including possibly being involved in the murder. Very, very unsavoury.
Father Gerry Nugent, 63, the parish priest, told the court that he and Ms Kluk had had a short sexual relationship in 2005, and admitted that he was an alcoholic; Tobin's defence QC had argued in his closing speech that there was "clear evidence" to connect the priest in some way with the young woman's death.
